Dr. William Campbell Douglass III MD, MS
TDU host Dr. W. Campbell Douglass (“Camp”) has practiced emergency and primary care/integrative medicine for over 30 years. He is board-certified in Family Practice. Highlights of his education and training include the MD degree from Loma Linda School of Medicine, and Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nutrition from the University of Florida (UF) and Purdue University, where he completed a research scholarship program and thesis on the anti-cancer effects of pro-vitamin A (beta-carotene). It was a mouse study employing HPLC technology. Clear anti-cancer effects were observed and documented. Other formative educational experiences include coursework in plant medicine at UF and a Traditional Chinese Medicine elective at the Peking Union Medical College in China.
Dr. Douglass served on the board of the American College for the Advancement of Medicine (the oldest integrative medicine organization of doctors). He currently practices primary care/integrative medicine and hosts this podcast. He also oversees operations of Douglass Family Publishing, the purveyor of integrative medicine books* written by his father, William Campbell Douglass II, MD.
